“Champion has the opportunity to move to F4 United States Championship”

Alliance Racing has stepped up to the plate, joining FRP’s Eastern Pro 4 Challenge by adding a $50,000 scholarship award to the winner towards the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda in 2022 or a $75,000 prize to jump to FR Americas.

“We are definitely hitting the ground running with this new program,” explained Bob Wright. “We have had a tremendous response since our announcement, and welcome Toney Edwards and the Alliance Racing program to the FRP family. The Alliance scholarship is a great addition to our program, and we can’t wait to see their familiar green and grey cars at some of our Pro 4 events in 2021.”

Hearing of the possible class addition and wanting to help out, Toney Edwards of Alliance Racing added a major piece to the lucrative prize fund. With the Eastern Pro 4 Challenge Champion earning a $50,000 scholarship to join Alliance Racing in the national F4 season in 2022, or a $75,000 credit towards FR Americas, the deserving winner will be able to continue their climb up the motorsports ladder.

“When I heard what Toney wanted to do, I was pretty much speechless,” added Wright. “An amazing prize from a great program.”

FRP, with over 16 years of operational expertise, provides Formula car enthusiasts racing opportunities with affordable quality track time in non-bureaucratic programs, and is arguably the most affordable series across the United States with the dollar per green flag lap at a minimum. FRP’s Eastern Pro 4 Challenge will look to continue that trend in 2021, competing in a five event, ten race Challenge at the premier facilities of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Pittsburgh International Race Complex, Barber Motorsports Park, Road America, and Autobahn Country Club.

Wright continued, “With some change in leadership at major racing facilities and programs around the country, FRP recently decided to forgo our previously announced sixth event, with the Pro 4 Challenge now ten races over five events, with a two race drop when calculating the Champion points. FRP remains committed to our path and approach in adding yet another opportunity for formula car racing, and we are working with others in the industry to bring together the synergy of multiple programs in a fun and challenging culminating event later in the season.”

The Alliance Scholarship for the Eastern Pro 4 Champion has a no gimmick approach, the award is simple. Compete in the five event Eastern Pro 4 Challenge and gain more points than your competitors to earn the scholarship. It does not matter how many competitors there are, how many races you compete in or where you finish in your events. Accumulate more points than your rivals and the award is yours. It should be noted that the scholarship is a credit towards a 2022 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda program with Alliance Racing.

While Eastern Pro 4 Challengers in their Ligier JS/F4 Chassis are welcome to join at any and all eight of FRP 2021 events, Pro 4 Challenge points and the Alliance Scholarship is calculated from the specific five events, totaling points from the best eight of ten races.
